![]() There is a reason why Chaos Emperor Dragon is still banned today, and while EotB is still playable and isn't as relevant as it once was, it's semi-limited to a maximum of 2 copies per deck purely for the fact that it has one of the easiest summoning requirements for a monster of its kind (banish a LIGHT and DARK monster from your GY to SS from your hand), and it gets either a free banish per turn or two 3000ATK attacks. I'd be all for more BLS support like Evening Twilight Knight or even Super Soldier, but there's absolutely no way EotB can be released right now in Duel Links' current format without being completely game-breaking. As for the secondary effect of attacking twice, there are several heavy hitters already in the game that have the same effect, some with better (attacking more than twice) as well as additional effects that make them even more ridiculous than this card could ever possibly be. With evening twilight, if you choose to banish a monster on the field, you can still attack that same turn, whereas with envoy of the beginning, you not only banish the target face up, but you cannot attack with the card in the same turn. While yes, it's easier to summon out of the two, you still need 1 dark and 1 light monster in your graveyard, which can throw many decks out of balance.Īs for the effects, I would say they are better in that they are more balanced. It's not OP compared to a vast number of other cards that are already in the game. Drop it with Mirage Dragon (conveniently a LIGHT monster) and watch everyone scoop instantly. It literally takes zero effort to summon, wrecks everything in battle or banishes anything that can oppose it. Of course you would, the Envoy variant would be OP as hell in this game. Though all in all, I'm happy to have gotten the card nonetheless, here's to hoping you guys release"Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" and the ritual monster "Black Luster Soldier - Super Soldier" in the near future as well. If this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, after damage calculation: It can make a second attack in a row. ![]() This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated. Target 1 monster on the field banish that target face-up. Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard. What do you think of Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight? What type of Deck and Character Skill do you think works best with it?Ĭannot be Normal Summoned/Set. You can also use the Beginning of Heaven and Earth Trap Card (also available at the Card Trader) to add Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight to your hand while sending other monsters from your Deck to your Graveyard. You can use Yami Bakura’s Compensation, Tether of Defeat, or Fiend Farewell skills to send monsters from your Deck to your Graveyard and feed the Summoning requirement for Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight. ![]() It can also be Special Summoned easily, while you have as few as 1 DARK monster and 1 LIGHT monster in your Graveyard. If you banished all LIGHT monsters from your Graveyard instead, you can target a monster on the field and banish it.īlack Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight hits hard and can banish threatening cards on your opponent’s field and in your opponent’s hand. If you banished all DARK monsters, you can give up your Battle Phase for the turn to banish a random card from your opponent’s hand face-down until your opponent’s End Phase. When you do, you banish all DARK or all LIGHT monsters from your Graveyard. You can only Special Summon it when you have the same number of DARK monsters and LIGHT monsters in your Graveyard. Three new cards were added to the Card Trader’s inventory last week, and one of them is the Ultra Rare Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight! This monster has an impressive 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF, plus a cool effect.
